Veroinca L. Morawek, Phd, LCSW

Dr. Morawek has over 10 years experience working with individuals and families experiencing chronic illness. She’s served populations across New York, New Jersey, and Washington, DC in a variety of settings such as dialysis clinics, homeless services, in the Department of Veterans Affairs, and hospitals. Her expertise focuses on chronic illness symptom management, quality of life, and empowering individuals to learn how to live with an illness but not have the illness define who they are as a person.

She received her Master’s in Social Work and PhD in Social Work from the Catholic University of America. Dr. Morawek’s dissertation focused on the access and affordability of care among Chronic Kidney Disease patients prior to dialysis. Her research focus and passion remains in ensuring those with chronic illness can manage all components of their disease.

In addition to her clinical work, she is an Adjunct Professor at Ramapo College of New Jersey and the Catholic University of America. Dr. Morawek currently lives in New Jersey with her family.
